Doctoral Tutorial

The EFA Doctoral Tutorial (EFA-DT) is an annual EFA doctoral event intended for Finance students who are nearing completion of their PhD and about to enter the job market. It provides students with an excellent opportunity to present their paper and receive detailed feedback from a distinguished faculty. The current format allows the EFA-DT co-chairs to select up to eight PhD student papers for presentation. Accepted students receive a stipend of EUR 1,000 to help cover registration and travel expenses.

Detailed information about the event and submission details are available on the EFA website: www.european-finance.org/doctoral-tutorial.

Doctoral Workshop

The EFA Doctoral Workshop (EFA-DW) is a new educational workshop series on “New Frontiers in Finance” organized by EFA. The workshop is intended for PhD students in their second or third year. The topic changes from year to year; in 2020 the workshop covers the topics: Blockchains and Cryptocurrency. The EFA-DW will discuss and summarize recent research on the topic, available data, some of the relevant regulatory frameworks both in Europe and the US, as well as potential directions for future research.
